About The RomantiX 1980s band

We are a specialist 1980s Indie 1980s Pop band aiming to recreate the sounds of the 80s as authentically as possible whilst developing our own unique sound.

The band consists of seasoned musicians Neil Rigby (vocals/guitar), Dave Friend (guitar), Van Greg (synthesisers) and the rhythm section of Geoff Trickey (bass) and Ivor Sewsanker (drums).

Matt Edgar (saxophone) has returned to Northern Ireland to live and work, but has an open invitation to join The RomantiX anytime he’s back on the mainland.

The roots of the band go back to 2018, forming as a covers band with Neil Rigby, . After many successful gigs we looked for more…

Since then, we’ve played summer festivals, pubs and clubs, often around Kent and East Sussex.

You’ll find Neil playing his 1980s numbers at various jams each week, usually with fellow members Van Greg, Dave Friend, Geoff Trickey and Ivor Sewsanker.
