The RomantiX played at the Rural Past Times Country Show 2025 as part of our charity commitment to raise money for good causes. Lining up with Neil on vocals/guitar, Dave Freind on lead guitar, Van Greg on synthesiser, Don Perretta on bass and Pete Roberts on drums.
The Rural Past Times is a country show held on the 2nd weekend of August each year at Horns Cross,TN31 6JG, volunteer-run country event held at Monkings Far in East Sussex. It celebrates traditional farming and rural heritage with working machinery, vintage tractors, heavy horses, and classic cars.
It was our first gig so the nerves were there a bit but we settled down and managed to produce a decent performance. We went down well and got some good feedback.
After the gig we had a good look round at the vintage cars, tractors, traction engines and all the other fascinating exhibits there, so well worth a visit if you are thinking about going.
We voted for our fee to be donated to the Hospice in the Weald.
We’ll be back next year!
