The RomantiX were booked to play at Horsmonden Cricket Club – one of the oldest cricket clubs in the world! The gig was set to be part of the celebrations for 1st XI winning the league. Fortunately, all went according to plan and the league was duly won!
If you’ve not been to Horsmonden Cricket Club, it’s well worth a visit. Set in a picturesque location with plenty of walks and even its own cafe – The Pavilion Cafe.
We played at 8i.30pm and we lined up with Neil on vocals/guitar, Dave Friend on lead guitar, Van Greg on synthesiser, Geoff Trickey on bass (back from holiday) and Ivor Sewsanker on drums.
We played our usual set with an interlude for pizza which were ordered en masse for the night.
After the gig we enjoyed a few beers with the cricketers and joined in with the celebrations!
